Busloads of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and students plan to attend the 2023 CPTA Legislative Day! During this event attendees learn about bills in the legislature that have a direct impact on the therapy profession. Attendees receive outstanding advice on advocacy from our seasoned lobbyist. Some will have the opportunity to meet with legislators and their staff members who represent their home cities, in person. Those attendees who are unable to attend meetings will have an opportunity to schedule a virtual meeting at a later date.

And most of all, you will experience first-hand what a strong grassroots advocacy program can do.

At the conclusion of this day, participants will be able to:

• Identify how a bill becomes law, 

• Design a comprehensive legislative strategy for the advancement of the physical therapy profession, 

• Schedule meetings with legislators and their staff members who represent your home cities.
